Here is an article of mine that talks about going to see a naturopath and how to find one. Where Your Acne Is And What It Looks Like Can Tell You What’s Causing It Do You Have One Major Imbalance Contributing to Your Acne? Many months ago, Fran from High on Health pronounced Estroblock . Do you use any supplements for clearing acne? Which ones and why? Just grab my free gift to you, ‘7 things You Can Start Doing Right Now to Clear Your Skin’ and get started right away! Another supplement that is good, is again, a pro biotic. Of course I learnt this from Tracy after doing the candida cleanse. I take one prescript assist probiotic a week for healthy digestion. Have you tried Funky Raw? I get mine from there. I am also curious about DIM. I have been taking dimavail for a few months. I am taking 100mg two times a day. How many mg do you take? I take SOURCE NATURALS DIM and Calcium D-Glunarate supplements. I also take VITANICA brand Chaste Berry Tree supplement as well. Maca root, gave me horrible horrible debilitating menstrual cramps. I have been taking natures way too I was going to change brands because some body building like places look like they sell it cheaper, and the quantities on natures way actually say Bio-response DIM Complex.. with 25% dim and a whole bunch of other stuff- so I have been taking 4 a day as I assume that I am only recieving 25g of dim per capsule. So do I stay with what has been working- or do I change Hi Happy, Ive been reading everyones methods of treatment and rarely post but seeing your request for a spot lightning trick made me :0). grind some oatmeal and enough water to make a paste and rub it all over your face and any other parts of the body that need dark spots lightened. this is basically a scrub and bleach in one and you can do this 2-3 times a week. the results will come depending on how much lemon juice you use, i use roughly 1tsp for about 1tbsp of oatmeal powder. if you want to skip this process just dab small amounts of lemon juice on the spots and scrub regularly. good luck! Anyway, voilà. Brilliant post, as always! If I reach the 6-month post-pill acne free to come off the pill gently without surfing from an outbreak! I tried the mega-dosing on B5 thing, about eight years ago. I think I took about 2500mg of a good quality brand daily for about a year. I can’t say I found it did an awful lot for my acne. The only reason I took it for so long was because I had had serious eczema all down one arm for about two years which wouldn‘t clear, and the eczema actually disappeared without trace during the period of taking B5 and I thought it could be the B5 that was helping. It was costly, though, and so I stopped taking it. The eczema never did return and I concluded that it had probably been a topical allergy, as I chopped and changed body washes a lot, and the B5 was just coincidental. I’ve also spent a small fortune over the years trying loads of other vitamins and minerals for acne, including homeopathic and herbal supplements, but, unfortunately, without success. I took vitamin B6 for a spell, well within the recommended dose, but I developed tingling in my hands and feet each day, which only ceased when I stopped taking it. That made me think that probably supplements weren’t such a good idea as I didn’t know what imbalances and potential problems I could be creating internally for the future. I therefore prefer not to take any now. It’s great that you think you might be having success with Estroblock though. Your skin really does look great. The good ones, usually more natural have none of this junk. very interesting article & video, thank you Tracy! Randomish topic: I was searching for candida recipes tonight due to a brain funk. I came across a candidaplan website where it said it was critical to sweat for at least 30 minutes every day to detoxify. This method of detoxification helps reduce the presence of candida. I am a little leery. A couple months ago, I tried hot yoga because I love to sweat. After the 3-4th session, I started getting a rash on my arms. It looked like eczema. It was extremely uncomfortable. A few weeks after I stopped going to the classes, it went away. I figured it was toxicity trying to escape through my pores . Now I am hesitant to work out for I might develop the rash. Currently, I am waiting to be further into my cleanse in hope that it will help reduce the toxicity through the skin. Any thoughts? But it sounds like something that could help with my particular acne. I know that cod liver is supposed to be VERY good for the skin but I read that it boosts testosterone production. So, maybe it is not as good as it appears to people who have hormonal acne. What do you think ? Hi Emma! Yes that is another one that seems quite useful for many women with acne. It sounds like you can take more, so I might try boosting your dose a little to see if it makes any difference. Hi Val, Very interesting, thanks for sharing your research! Have you found a cod liver oil that you think is acceptable? Everyone mentions estrogen dominance, but what about people that are overly sensitive to progesterone? I was prescribed spironolactone but I want to do it the natural way. I guess my question is does DIM support all hormonal imbalances? Do you think the acne is temporary before it kicks in and actually helps the problem? Or maybe not for me? I know you mentioned that it might not be for everyone but I was so optimistic when I saw how clear you are on it. Megadosing on B5 COMPLETELY cleared my acne in about a month. It was as effective as accutane but virtually no side effects after the first few days. It was so amazing to have no acne after years and years of moderate to bad acne. I was able to totally rely on my skin being clear, no matter what happened, what I ate or did. So liberating. Great, huh? It was. But after many months the acne started to come back, and I was also quite freaked out taking so much, even though it is supposedly water soluble. So I stopped. And all my acne came back. I am intrigued with DIM. Tracey, please keep up updated. Thanks for sharing your experience with B5 and zinc Christine! I noticed that this Estroblock contains soy. Is this different to normal soy? Thanks for the advice Tracy and the link to the article, I will continue to take it as there does appear to be many good reviews about it.. Keep up the good work. I would just like to recommend flaxseed as a supplement, oil, soap, flour etc. Its rich in omega 3 fatty acids, especially alpha linoleic acid . Although it works for some, it does not work for all. But thought I would suggest it, as I had a good friend from NZ whose family grew and made flax products and they used to swear by it for spots, acne and eczema. They are literally the kings of flaxseed and have some amazing products. Although not sure about getting sent overseas sorry but it would be worth a try as its organic and a family owned company. A lot of great stuff on there. Check out there products, Olivers testimonial and further information on flaxseed. You can get supplements from your local supplement suppliers too. I wish everyone porcelain clear skin for this christmas, including myself. Thanks Tracy, Have ordered some online as my others have almost run out. Hey again.. I actually have another question for you. So I bought the estroblock with high hopes for it but it got me thinking. Since estrogen is supposed to block male hormones and nothing seems to be working. Hi Tracy! Thank you so much for replying. Oh, thank you for the warning ! Can I ask you how bad your hormonal acne is or was ? Was it a mild hormonal acne around your chin an jawline or its a bit more severe in your case? And for how long you took Estrosense before to note that it was not efficient enough for your hormonal acne ? I am asking you all these questions because I bought Estrosense yesterday and I want to be sure before to start taking it. Thank you very much Vanessa !! Thanks Tracy! Oh and I am very interested in the Livtox supplement as I think my liver definitely needs a boost in fighting my stubborn hormonal acne. Question, do you purchase yours from Amazon or some other online site or does your naturopath doctor provide this supplement? I think I might have a soy sensivity is the estroguard less effective than estroblock? I would love to hear any other stories on the subject, especially if you had success at a relatively low dose, like I do. Thanks!! clear skin for all! If you want to know they are safe, I would definitely go see a naturopath so you get quality supplement and personal recommendations from them. I figure if you can trust a doctor . thank you so much for your lovely words! Tracy is without internet access right now and asked me to reply to her comments. Yes, you can take both, saw palmetto and DIM at the same time. Milk thistle is another great herb for people suffering from hormonal acne. It flushes excess hormones and toxins from the liver, aids in hormonal balance and stimulates liver regeneration and cleansing. It‘s great to use alongside with DIM . Hey Tracy, I have a few questions about multivitamins. What are your opinions on them? Are they at all helpful or beneficial to our bodies? And what are things to look for in a good multivitamin ? Thanks so much! I have a question. Ive read all your stuff while ive been at work and frans as well. Very interesting. curious. Also I drink nothing but water bc thats all I can drink. And I do drink and refill water bottles.. I read that plastic bottles r bad for you producing more estrogen? Danggg what do I do. sorry so long. Please wb. When I first started the honey I have loads come out on my right jaw side and random places. Could this be the detox? Thank you so much for getting back to me. I thought the baking soda would be to harsh! Seen my naturopath a few weeks ago, she advise me to stop taking the vitex and dim plus. She also said that the natures way dim plus that I was taking is a very good supplement! But using the both together is only concentrating on estrogens and not on the progesterone as well. She has prescribed me bionurti lignan plus, viridian tri-blend acidophilus complex with f.o.s, nurti D3 5000 terra nova easy iron. She believes my acne is down to hormones, bacteria, sugar and the fact I suffer with anaemia all plays apart. I would really appreciate your thoughts on this. Hi Becky, So did she tell you to stop using both vitex and DIM, or just stop taking one of them? Hoping you could help. I cant find estroblock that sells to the UK, do you know of any good websites I can buy it from securely? Thanks for all of the support you give us! Im still sooo confused about hormones and ive been reading up on this for almost a year.. I have been on dim off and on for about 9 months.. got my hormones tested the other day and my estradiol is low.. too low for a 27 year old but estrone is still high normal.. these are the two estrogens that dim is supposidly suppose to lower.. estiol was normal range. My Androgens were normal, actually slightly low, This is what i cant wrap my head around. Estrogen is suppose to be good for your skin? make the pores smaller, make it smoother, be an antagonist to androgens and testosterone.. when it gets too low the androgens must have more of an effect? its suppose to be great for hair growth giving you your womanly curves etc.. But when its TOO high you can get acne hair loss, melasma..which i also have? like what the hell its so confusing! Hi Lynsey, I know it is indeed very confusing. So would you say your acne is worse or better since taking DIM? And how did you get your hormones tested? Saliva test? hi Tracy! Just wanted to know if you started taking the Liv tox supplement at the same time as the estroblock or was it something you added in later? Ok so just to summarize all you take in terms of supplements, they are the following: no soy no gluten no sugar! Fermented foods and probiotics, chlorella, Spirulina, you name it! My food is of the upmost in nutrition and all organic. My skin has improved significantly in past few yrs after eating this way but still need a boost so I am hoping the above mentioned supplements will get me to the next level.
