Read Genesis 2:15-25. What about the intimacy and openness in this passage seems normal to you? What seems abnormal? Is your definition of “normalcy” in relationships one that is idealistic (as things should be) or realistic ( as things are now)?
Read Mark 3:20-21, 31-35. Why did Jesus’ family come for him? What type of conversation do you think they had before coming to get him? What would have been difficult about being a sibling to Jesus? What would have been favorable?
Read Galatians 4:4-7. How are our lives different because we are made sons and daughters of God through Jesus? What is our inheritance?
What lessons have you learned recently by being part of a family? How does family help us grow closer to God? How would you like your family relationships to be different?
