Pray the 10

Categories: Church,Prayer

“Let your light shine before others that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”  Matthew 5:16

This past Sunday at Creekside, in our time of concert prayer we prayed over, Example.  Father make me an example others can follow.   For me, this is a scary thing!  Be an example?
In Matt 5:16 Jesus says, “Let your light shine before others that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”  As Christians we are called to “Let your light shine before others.”  There’s an interesting thing about light, the darker the room the brighter the light shines.  I have often felt like a failure when I fail to share my faith story with someone I’ve been praying for.  Have you ever faced that?
The verse says “Let your light shine that they may see your good works.”  Sometimes it’s not what you say but what you are.  How you act, what you do, thats what they are looking at.  Thats the testimony they see, every day.
We have been called to be light and the promise we have with the light is that the light will pierce the darkness.  This week be light.  Where ever you find yourself, be light.  Jesus will use  you to pierce the darkness.
Thank you for your commitment to Pray the10, ten minutes in the morning and ten minutes in the evening, all for outreach, the mission of Creekside.
